About Our Team

Peter C. Jouflas DVM

Dr. Pete Jouflas earned degrees in microbiology in 1978 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1982 from Colorado State University. He practiced both large and small animal medicine for 35 years before retiring in 2017.

Dr. Pete and his wife Kristy operated a small farm and cultivated the hemp that is the main source of the full spectrum cannabinoids that are used in the CannOmega products, insuring a controlled farm to pharmacy product.

Growing hemp sparked Dr. Pete’s interest in biochemistry and the physiologic effects of phytocannabinoids on the endocannabinoid system in animals. He recommended fish oils to his patients for many years and experienced improvements in their mobility and general health.  This knowledge combined with recent studies demonstrating the synergistic relationship of omega 3 fatty acids and the endocannabinoid system, led to the formulation of CannOmega.

Pete and Kristy have 2 grown children and 2 grandkids and enjoy spending time with them whenever possible. They also enjoy golf, gardening and skiing in their spare time.

Dr. Tom Suplizio, DVM

Dr. Tom grew up in Grand Junction, CO and received his degree in veterinary medicine from Colorado State University in 2001. Following graduation, he completed a 13-month internship at the prestigious Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, MA, where is training included critical care, internal medicine, oncology, surgery, dentistry, and cardiology.

Dr. Tom and his wife, Dr. Tara, returned to Grand Junction in 2002 to raise their 3 children and be closer to family. They purchased and operated a small animal veterinary practice from 2004-2018. Dr. Tara is licensed in veterinary acupuncture and together they offered comprehensive veterinary care which included both traditional and alternative therapies.

Dr. Jouflas introduced Dr. Tom to CannOmega in 2018 and when they began to see incredible results with friends’ and family pets, the doctors both knew that Dr. Jouflas had developed something truly remarkable. Having witnessed the health-boosting benefits first-hand, they started Pet Care Remedies.

“I first used CannOmega on my sister’s 13-year-old husky that so arthritic she could barely walk. I next tried it on my brother’s 80-pound Rottweiler who has torn cruciate ligaments in both knees and would groan at night and never seemed comfortable. Within 2 weeks on CannOmega, both dogs were moving better than ever!”
Dr. Tom and Dr. Tara have 3 active boys, 2 dogs, 3 cats as well as chickens and goats. They enjoy skiing, rafting, cycling, camping, and rock climbing
